Business Messages

Businesses are very crucial to the economy. Good business messages are essential to keep the business relation in good health too. There are many types of business messages which a business can write to another daily with regards to business. It These can include messages on sales and purchases, products and services, confirmation or cancellation of orders, invoices, company announcements and notifications, employee related news such as promotions, awards, increments, bonus, appraisals, resignation and termination, as some examples.

A business message can be written by any authorized figure from a company to another authorized figure of another company. Business messages are usually formal and should be well written to earn the respect of the recipient. Business messages could also be directed to the public, besides the business associates. Business messages to the public could be an announcement, promotion, surveys, notification of change of address or contact information about the business or some other information which a client should know to ensure continued patronage of the company’s products and services.

Business messages are written as a reminder or to serve as a record the business dealings that transpire between companies.

Well written business messages will put the sender not only in good stead and respect by the recipient, they are also crucial to the survival or progress of the company.

Dear Sir

Re: Confirmation of Appointment

Thank you for your kind consideration of using the services of Platinum Services Consulting.

I am writing to confirm the appointment between your kind self and me this coming Thursday, February 23, 2011 at 3pm at your office. The appointment would probably take an hour to discuss the change in policy of transactions between both companies.

Platinum Services Consulting is honored to have enjoyed the great support of Fairchild Quality Products for the past five (5) years. However, with the recent changes in business transaction policies passed by the federal law, the way we conduct our businesses are affected somewhat. Hence, it is essential for a face-to-face discussion to discuss the impact of the federal law on business policy changes with regards to our business collaborations.

I shall be coming in with my accountant, Mr. Jerry Lamb and my legal advisor, Mr. Ryan Bloom who will be able to advise us on the policy changes. Please feel free to invite relevant personnel from your side for a fruitful discussion.

Thank you for your kind understanding on this matter as every party’s stake is involved. Thank you for taking time off your busy schedule to meet up with me on the mentioned time and date. I shall be there punctually.

Congratulations Messages

Congratulations messages are given on special occasions where one wishes to convey their heartiest regards and good wishes to another for a success or accomplishment.

There are many occasions to convey congratulations messages, as in a promotion, award or public acknowledgement of a feat at the workplace or business environment. These congratulations messages are usually written formally as they are in the business environment. Professionalism and ethics must be displayed as good wishes are conveyed in the business environment to establish and strengthen good business collaborations.

Congratulations messages can also be conveyed on a more informal basis where close friends and family members are concerned, such as the celebration of a birthday, arrival of a newborn, personal achievement, graduation, success in getting the first job or a better job, passing of exam, getting engaged or married. There are numerous occasions for congratulations messages to be given and these are good opportunities for relationships to be established, built or rekindled. It should be exercised as often as the occasion permits to sow seeds of good relations.

A congratulations message can also contain compliments and words of encouragement. Congratulations messages amongst close friends and families can be light and expressive, sharing the joy with the recipient on the success and achievement.

Dear Son

Re: Congratulations!

I am SO proud of you. Finally, this day has come and I cannot stop the tears flowing from my eyes. I am very happy to be able to share this day with you as you are ready to step into the workforce upon your graduation.

Congratulations on your great performance in your studies! Being at the 98 percentile is quite an achievement in a law program. I know that it has been tough on you to be away from your family these 7 years of studies. But you have done well, my son; I am truly proud of you.

Thank you for informing me of your great achievements in your studies. You deserve the success and recognition from your professors, peers and family. We are all very proud of you.

Your consistent hard work paid off. You will be thrown with many challenges soon, as you enter another phase of your life; but I believe that you will excel in all. You have a great personality and a sharp mind. I am sure you will use these to your best advantage.

Well done, my son! Not only have you graduated well from college, you have secured a lucrative post with one of the most prestigious law firm in Philadelphia. This is indeed a double congratulation! You have excelled beyond my expectations.

Take good care of yourself and keep climbing the ladder of success! The sky’s the limit. We are here to support you each step of the way.

With all my love,

Dad

Encouragement Messages

Encouragement messages are so important and needed when one is feeling down or in despair. Where bad news abound, encouragement messages are needed most. Humans are relational creatures; we need someone to come along side us when we feel hopeless or worried. Good words can give a despairing person hope and courage. Harsh words can break the spirit beyond repair.

An encouragement message can be written to someone who is known to the sender. There is usually some form of relationship before an encouragement message is given.  Sometimes it could be a complete stranger extending an encouragement message; giving words of hope and advice through a similar experience. That can be quite effective too; when someone has gone through a difficult patch in life, and shares his journey with another who is going through a similar experience, the recipient feels encouraged, knowing that he is not alone; he is not the ‘odd one’. The recipient is encouraged because he need not despair as he is shown the way to overcome the current difficulty from those who had walked the path.

It is up to every individual to choose to encourage another; all humans undergo some life difficulties at some point or other in our lives. To give an encouragement message to another in despair or sorrow is a good deed; you have lifted a downcast soul out of the miry pit. The recipient of an encouragement message can move on with his/her life quicker instead of wasting time wallowing in self-pity or despair, lost in decisions and lost of control. He comes out stronger in emotions and spirit for he is not without direction, after embracing the encouragement message.

Re: I am here for you

I am so sorry to hear about your retrenchment. It was so sudden. It must be really shocking for you as you did not see it coming, yeah?

I empathize with you. I was in a similar boat two years ago. Also a mother with young children, I received news of my retrenchment terribly. For weeks I was in a daze. Questions kept running through my mind: “How can we survive with one breadwinner in today’s inflation?” I was really desperate and had many bad moments with Bob. Crying out brings some relief but not solution.

Thank God a friend came by my house 3 months later to introduce me to a freelancing job. I was so desperate I just took it without further questioning. Now, I am making a good earning to supplement Bob’s meager construction income. There aren’t many jobs in construction today with the unstable economy.

I can introduce you to the same freelancing job if you are interested. It is easy to do and you can do it at home whenever you are free; thus, you have more time with the children and keep your home in better order. I have experienced that myself. I enjoy my life much more now. The retrenchment was a blessing in disguise. There is always a silver lining behind the dark clouds, Macy. Do not fret.

Call me when you are ready to start. If I can overcome the retrenchment patch, so can you!

Looking forward to hear from you soon,

Your friend,

Christy

Easter Messages

An Easter message is mixed with sadness and joy; sadness because it is a reminder of how Christ suffered for mankind on the cross, ridiculed and beaten by those who could not accept who He is. An Easter message is also a time of great rejoicing for those who believe Jesus is the Son of God, for only He could have been buried for three days and rose from the dead. Easter speaks of the empty tomb of Jesus!

The Easter message is a message of hope that those who believe in Jesus can have eternal life; it is the message of a living and loving God! The Easter message is usually given on Easter Day which usually falls in mid April.

Although the solemn occasion has been commercialized to a great extent, with bunnies and chocolate eggs, the true meaning of Easter underpins the celebration. It is new life through Jesus, the Son of God. Perhaps all who celebrate Easter in whatever manner intend to enjoy life to its fullest.

A formal Easter message is usually found in churches that make it a point to hold a mass or celebration service with words of encouragement to their congregation with the Easter story told and retold, year after year.

It is a message of love, power and eternity. An Easter message can be sent out to members of the church or spoken out in an Easter service to share the meaning and power of Easter.

Dearly Beloved Children of God

Re: Easter message

Today we are gathered here to celebrate a great day.

It is a day of remembrance; lest we forget the past and ruin our future. It is important for all of God’s children to turn our eyes from the cross to the empty tomb. That is the hope of our faith!

That is the meaning of Easter! It is the dawn of a new day, where hope is alive! Our God is alive! He is not dead! We serve a living God! Hallelujah! And we shall be with Him one day as we hold on to this hope. He made us sad for a little while with His death; but then, three days later, Jesus rose from the dead! He is not in the tomb. That should fill our hearts with joy! That is the Easter message that you and I should remember on this Easter day.

There is hope for those who are lost; peace for those who are troubled; joy for those who mourn, for your sorrow is just for a moment. There is so much to live for, and Jesus showed the way. We should all embrace this Easter joyously as we wait patiently for our bridegroom’s coming soon.

Have a Blessed Easter! Let His life fill your life this Easter.

With God’s grace and blessings,

Bishop Lionel C. Haskins

Farewell Messages

Farewells are usually difficult between parties who are parting ways. As it is usually difficult to bid farewell to another party, one might choose to write a farewell message instead of a face-to-face farewell.

A farewell message informs the recipient of the sender’s decision to move on in life from the current position. The farewell message can be quite informal as it usually addresses recipients who are close to the sender. Reasons for the farewell may be stated in a farewell message; reminisces of the good times the parties have shared and enjoyed can also be included to form good memories when they become apart.

Advices may be penned in a farewell message as well as good wishes and hope to the recipient, as the parties may not be able to gauge their next meet up after their farewell.

Farewell messages can be sent in a letter or it could be read out at a farewell party in honor of the one leaving. If the latter, it could prove to be an emotional event as usually good words or praises would be heaped on the party who is leaving. Good wishes are also directed to the leaving party by all those attending the event.

Farewells can happen when people resign from their jobs, relocate or migrant. There are many other reasons for a farewell to arise; sometimes, it could be a simple sending off for further studies, after a holiday with your friends, or even from a dying individual.

Dear All

Re: Farewell!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this last letter to you. I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 of lung cancer last week. It is terminal; the doctors are giving me a month or so of life. I have to put my house in order before I leave this world.

There is so much more that I wish to do and say but time will not permit me. Sigh! But that is life. It must be lived to the full with no regrets. No one knows when it is your time to go. At least, I have been given a timeframe albeit short.

I am only thinking of now; I have so little time to spend with my family and friends. I wish I had done that in my earlier years but the clock cannot be turned back unless a miracle drug is discovered tomorrow.

I wish to apologize to all my loved ones and good friends who were there for me at every difficult situation I went through. I took my frustration at work out on you unwisely but yet, you were patient with me. I wish to let you all know how regretful I am; yet my love for you, especially my dear family, has never diminished.

Take good care of yourselves once I am gone! I shall be your guardian angel; that’s the least I can do in return for your kindness to me.

With all my love,

Jim

Engagement Messages

Engagement messages are good news as they announce the getting together of two souls in love, committing to move forward to a higher level in their relationship.

An engagement message is usually written by the engaged couple to their family, friends, colleagues and even their business associates to inform all of their decision to be engaged and later, marriage.

An engagement message can be formal or informal, depending on the recipient. It is written informally if it is addressed to close relations like family and friends; formal if it addresses business related audience. It could be an invitation letter to an engagement celebration or it could be a simple announcement informing the engagement of the couple to the recipient.

An engagement message spells the start of a couple’s decision to be taken seriously as a couple wanting to be together.

Re: We’re engaged!

We are so excited to tell you the good news! We are engaged! Christopher proposed on Valentine’s Day (and I am still shocked with his proposal).

It was such a romantic dinner at the beach in a 5-star hotel (La Rumba). I just thought that it would be a normal lovey-dovey Valentine’s Day celebration with dinner and flowers, but the arrangement was so elaborate and romantic.

There were musicians who played our favorite songs while we danced the night away. The food was exquisite as it was fine dining; but against the setting sun and cool sea breeze, it was really breathtaking.

As we were watching the sunset, Christopher proposed! His exact words were, “Hannah darling, my life is like the sunset. If it sets one day, I would love it to be with you! You are my sunshine. Will you marry me?” Then on his knees, he gave me the beautiful pearl and diamond ring. You have to see it; Christopher has it specially designed for me as he knew these are my favorite gems. How sweet of him!

So, mom and dad, I accepted! Christopher and I are engaged! And what other more beautiful day than Valentine’s Day! Ah, it was truly romantic! Wish we have videotaped it for keepsakes but it will remain in my heart always.

We are thinking of a June wedding this year. Spring is a lovely time for a wedding, don’t you think so? We have yet to confirm any date. We welcome your suggestions and ideas for our upcoming wedding. Since the wedding is so near, Christopher and I have decided not to have any engagement party but just a family get-together later this month.

We can discuss our wedding plans further then. We look forward to meet up with you all then.

With our love,

Christopher & Hannah

Friendship Messages

Friendships are necessary between people. No man is an island; everyone needs a friend. Friends are good for our well-being. Man is a relational creature. Communication is important in any relationship. Friendships need to be developed. Friendship messages can achieve that objective.

Friendship messages can be written by one friend to another on a daily basis to update each other the daily events in their lives. It could also be a pen pal writing to another in another country to exchange information about their individual countries while getting to know each other as a pen friend.

Friendship messages can contain any topic that a friend writes to another. It can be casual and enquiring, or it can be informative as an update of one’s life or the events happening around a person’s life.

Friendship messages serve to enhance the relationship between two parties through open sharing and communication. Truthfulness and acceptance are key elements in a friendship. True friendships do not criticize but lovingly listens and accepts the individual as he is while encouraging positive growth.

Dear Zhi Yü

Re: Greetings!

It was great to receive your last letter dated February 10, 2011. Yes, Happy Valentine’s Day to you too! I do not know if you would receive this letter in time for Valentine.

I am so happy to have you as a pen friend; since our correspondence 3 years ago, I have enjoyed these friendship messages across our lands. Though we have not met personally, I feel that I know you so well. You are like my special friend who is always there to encourage me. You see the good in me all the time, unlike my family here. They expect a lot from me; sometimes, I feel pressured by my parents.

I am expected to earn my own living while at college. That is really tough as I have to balance studies and work. I am worried about failing my studies as work has been quite demanding since the last holiday season. I hope I will do well so that I will not waste this semester.

Thank you for taking time to read my woes. You are very patient and understanding. I wish my family is more like you.

Anyway, how are you doing? I am glad to hear that you passed your karate test with flying colors. So, are you a ‘master’ yet? What level is red belt? I am more active in sports, like basketball and rugby. There will be a basketball district championship next month and I am planning to qualify at the trials for a place. Wish me luck! I may be a bit busy juggling work, studies and try-outs from now to reply you earlier. So, please be patient with me again.

Your pen pal,

Ritchie

Get Well Soon Messages

Get Well Soon messages are meant to wish those who are ill, a quick recovery to good health. It could be a sudden ill health striking an individual or a period of quarantine imposed due to some contagious but temporary disease. A Get Well Soon message would encourage the sick individual not to be disheartened and to look forward to recovery.

Get Well Soon messages are written with kind and sympathetic words so that the recipient will feel better upon hearing or reading the message. It can be in a form of a Get Well Card or note that is sent to the sick or unwell. These are good messages to get when one is not feeling well, as it indicates that there are people out there who are thinking or care about them.

Being sick can be quite depressing; not able to receive visitors during the time of sickness can lower the self-esteem of the unwell. Get Well Soon messages can contain cheerful tales or prayers that will bring cheer and hope to those under the weather, as circumstances may prevent the recipient from accepting visitors and cut off human interaction.

Hi Penny!

Re: Get Well Soon

How are you feeling today? So sorry to hear that you are not feeling well; having chicken pox is no fun, so others say. I have not had it before so I wouldn’t quite know. My mom says I can’t visit you because it is contagious and I hadn’t had it as yet. Your mom says you are still weak; hence, this Get Well Soon note.

It takes about 2 weeks to clear, isn’t it? Look at it this way; you are lucky to be missing the choir practices for the school anniversary. Mrs. Pickler ‘forced’ every student who is not involved in some presentation to be in the choir.

And there are the alternate day gym periods we both hate, which you are skipping out, leaving me to suffer alone! So, take heart, girl; every cloud has a silver lining! You are having a great time at home; doing all those stuff you like instead of slogging at school… well, at least for 2 weeks!

I miss you so, Penny. Rest well and I’ll see you soon. Oh yeah, I heard someone talking about scratching the poxes… don’t! If they burst, you will get permanent scars. And we can’t afford cosmetic surgery as yet, girl! There’s still the debutante ball at the end of the year. But I’m sure you’ll recover soon enough before then.

When you are feeling up to it, call me for a chat. I don’t think the virus will travel through phone lines, yeah?

Funeral Messages

Funerals are sad and somber events, most of the time; loved ones pass away and a void may be felt. Some demises are so sudden that leave the living reeling in shock and disbelief.

Hence, funeral messages need to be well worded to be sensitive to the feelings of the living than the dead. This kind of farewell is of a permanent nature to most people and it is hard to bid farewell and let go easily. Emotions may run high and words are often not palatable to the ear at the moment. The grieving party may be at a loss for words or choose not to speak much, if the relation with the deceased was strong and deep.

Funeral messages can be delivered by a spiritual authority such as the pastor of a church or spiritual leader of a religious body. They can also be conveyed by close members to the deceased as in the form of eulogy where a reminiscent of the good times with the deceased is shared and reflected. The virtues of the deceased may be highlighted in his/her honor to allow the audience a better glimpse of his/her life gone by.

Funeral messages usually end on a lighter note that the deceased is at a better place which the living should be happy for the deceased and their hearts be at peace.

Funeral messages are usually delivered at the wake service or funeral parlor where a funeral service is held.

Dear All

Re: Eulogy

My heart is heavy as I stand in front of you this evening, to mourn the passing of Ethel Joseph, my beloved wife of 52 years. Thank you to all who have traveled far and near to support the Joseph family in this time of grief.

There was never any other woman for me; it was Ethel and Ethel Parrington only, once I set my eyes on her 55 years ago. She was the joy and sunshine of my life.  We were in our twenties and barely starting out in our careers. But I was very determined not to let go of this gem; and I did right.

Ethel could charm you till you forget your own name; she has that wonderful gift of making any stranger feel at home. Her children were blest by her maternal instincts and culinary skills.

We were devastated when Ethel was diagnosed with a weak heart last year. But we spent as much time together for we know time is limited. She made each of us loved and happy when she still could.

Ethel darling, I had loved you and I always will. I shall be with you again one day. I know you will be waiting for me, as you always do when I come home from anywhere.

Till we meet again, darling Ethel,

Your one and only – Al

Graduation Messages

Graduation messages are conveyed to those who are graduating from high school or college. They can be conveyed by any well wisher such as family members, friends and business associates.

But, there are other types of graduation besides from studies. People can be graduating from some skills program or a social program like ‘debutante’ celebration where a young lady who has come of age has ‘graduated’ from adolescence to adulthood; graduations can also come through social achievement program like the ‘Alcoholic Anonymous’ program, where alcoholics have successfully battled against their addiction to move on to a new lease of life.

Graduation messages are usually well wishes with congratulations to the recipient, acknowledging his fine and well deserved achievement. These are messages of approval to the recipient as well as words of encouragement to boost the confidence of the graduate as he embarks on the next phase of his life.

Expectations are high on the graduate for greater things to be accomplished. Graduation messages tend to spur the graduate to greater heights in its content; the structure of a graduation message is not necessarily formal if the relation between the sender and graduate is close.

Dear Son

You have graduated!

I am so proud of you. Congratulations on your college graduation this week! You are the first Garcia to graduate from college. Well done!

The Garcia clan is very proud of you; I have accepted your uncles’ and aunts’ best wishes on your behalf and their compliments to our family on your fine achievement. You have raised the Garcia name for us. It was not easy for our family in the earlier years as we struggled to set up a home here since our arrival to America 15 years ago; but this is the day we looked forward to, despite our struggles. Your graduation from college made it worth all our efforts. The America dream lives.

The world is at your feet now, son. The doors of opportunity open to welcome you. Enter boldly but carefully after choosing your options wisely.

It is too expensive for us to come down for your graduation. Have a good celebration with your peers, but son, do not forget your roots. Come back when you have some free time. Keep us updated with your life. We would always love to hear from you. Call or write to us on anything. Our arms are always open to receive you no matter what. You can count on us.

Son, I am proud of you. Remember that! You can do whatever you set your heart and mind to. We shall have a small celebration with your uncles and aunts soon in honor of you. We know that you will be busy looking for a good job.

Our hearts are with you.

Your loving dad
