It is very easy to complain about someone’s work and equally difficult to appreciate her/his work or give a compliment for the efforts. But it is very crucial for an employee or for any individual for that matter to get compliments on good work done or sincere efforts put in. It works as a great motivator that helps enhance productivity and raises the morale of an individual. When a person is not stringent in giving negative feedback or feedback for improvement then why should one be stiff in giving positive feedback?
A Compliment Letter can be an official or an unofficial one. It is a letter that basically communicates two feelings – one that of gratitude and the other one of praise. A Compliment Letter should be short and crisp. It should only talk about the reason for gratitude or thanks and should not in any way talk about any negative feedback for the individual concerned. The language should be very inspirational and appropriate for the work being complimented. Quantifying the effort by giving details of achievements is easier to relate to by all, and that is what should be a part of the letter as well.
