A Gift Letter is a medium of informing the recipient that a gift has been attached or enclosed with the letter. It is another way of ensuring that the recipient not only reads the letter, s/he also looks for the gift. Since a Gift Letter is personal in nature, it may be hand written. A gift is something that is given on ones own the tone of the letter should not sound as if a favor is being done to the recipient. Loving and caring words should be used in the letter.

• Loving and caring words should be used in the letter
• The tone of the letter should not sound as if a favor is being done
• A Gift Letter should always give details of what form of gift is being enclosed or attached or packed with the letter
• The reason for the gift should also be mentioned in the letter so that the ambiguity is taken care of
• The Gift Letter should sound as if it is a celebration of the reason for the gift
