A post-interview letter as the name suggests is usually written after an interview has taken place. The letter is essentially a letter of Thank You written by the person who has given the interview. Writing a thank you letter after an interview usually increases the chances of the person of getting the job. The post-interview letter is a letter of courtesy.
This letter must be written immediately after the interview has taken place, i.e., it should be sent within the first 24 hours. Since this letter is being written to a potential employer, it must be written in a polite and formal manner. One must ensure that while writing the letter, they reiterate their qualifications and their previous work experience. The letter must be written in an attractive way so that it helps them to get the job for which they have applied for. One must also ensure that they provide their contact details so that the employer can reach them quickly.

Post-Interview Letter Writing Tips
- Send the letter immediately after the interview, or at least within the first 24 hours.
- Use the whole phrase “thank you” in the Subject and the message. Do not use the informal term “thanks.”
- Highlight any strength or qualification you have that was emphasized in the job description and the interview.
- Keep the message short
- In your letter, reference the date and time of the call.
