Request to Execute Affidavit Letter

An Affidavit Letter is a discretionary, sworn document that you affirm under oath and stands true in all regards. It is a legal statement that is used as verification for law bound purposes. It is made by the will of a person and is witnessed and signed by a notary or other authorized sources which have the legal authority to do so. An affidavit can be made for various purposes such as for changing the name of a person, taxation, to confirm the residential address, to claim the ownership of property, to confirm the acceptance of legal documents etc.

An Affidavit Letter should contain all the important information like the full name of the person swearing the affidavit, the full legal address of the person affirming the affidavit, the reason for furnishing the affidavit, details of the witness, sign, and date of both the notary and the affiant. The affiant should also remember that once the letter has been signed by both the parties if you don’t abide by the terms mentioned in the affidavit you can be charged penalty.

Tips to Write a Request To Execute Affidavit Letter.

  • Since an affidavit is a legal statement you should choose your words quite carefully. Be very formal in every aspect of it.
  • Always remember to include the date, court case number, name, and address of the parties involved, the signature of the witness, statement of affirmation etc.
