Complaint Letter By Teacher To Parents

Last Updated On September 19, 2018 By Letter Writing

A complaint letter by a teacher to parents is a formal complaint letter to the parents of the ward by his/ her teacher. It is a formal letter and since you are making the dissatisfaction known to the parents of your student, you should be polite and not angry-making accusations at them. You should tactfully bring the problem to the notice of the parents of the student since being brash and straightforward may sound offensive and irk the parents.

This type of letter can be written for numerous reasons. If the teacher wants to draw the attention of the parents to the academic performance of the ward in school or his / her social behavior, overall progress or simply remind the parents of their negligent behavior towards their ward. The teacher can also suggest a solution for it if he/ she feels like. A teacher plays an important role in a student’s life and hence he/ she should be considerate and caring towards the child.

Subject: Complaint of your ward

Dear Mr. Villadsen,

This is Florence Mc Gregor. I teach English to your son John Villadsen who is studying in VI grade and I am also his class teacher. Over the past 6 months, I have noticed that John has become distracted and isn’t performing up to his level in the class tests.

He also performed very poorly in his mid-term exams. He has become suddenly very quiet and has reduced playing with other children and doesn’t speak that much. When asked something he suddenly becomes hyper unlike his usual self. He has always been a calm and poised student.

Last week he stormed out of the class in anger after he was reprimanded for not knowing an answer. This incident alarmed the teachers and I am writing to you with only John’s best interest in my mind. It would greatly benefit John if you could just see what is troubling him and help him. I will try my best to provide any help I can during the school hours. He is the gem of the school and I would love to see him go back to normal.

I hope you won’t take it otherwise.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

Florence Mc Gregor.
