Organization Fundraising Letter

Last Updated On September 7, 2018 By Letter Writing

Many organizations or private companies require funds to start a new project or continue with an old project or also run out of funds. Depending on the type of project is you would probably want to write out to a few people here and there to donate towards your project. In this situation, it is preferable to send a fundraising request letter to each and every donor you wish to approach.

The letter must clearly explain to the recipient who the donor is, why they should fund you and the benefits from the amount they are funding. If these questions are satisfactorily answered, then you will certainly achieve the goal of raising your funds.
With many types of fundraising request letter or would need to choose the one matching your needs and write it, and since it is an organization you need to convince your donor that is a good non-profitable fundraiser.

Organisation Fundraising Request Letter Writing Tips

  • As it’s a fundraiser, it is not necessary that the person you are addressing the letter to might want to donate. So, do not force. Accept rejection humbly.
  • You need to write to the donor in a personal way, make him or her experience the same feeling as you feel toward the fundraising.
  • Do not make the letter too long or boring, be straightforward and get to the point. You do not want to chase your donor away, in fact, you want to attract him/her more towards the cause. Also, while writing makes sure to show the urgency of raising funds.
  • Make sure to give full and correct information regarding the fundraiser. Mention the date and time, the venue and also how the money raised will be used. Plus, don’t forget to let your donor know that this is a non-profitable fundraiser.

Dear Mr./Mrs./Ms.______________,

I am delighted to inform you that on ___________, we the youth group, will be organising a fundraiser. But for us to be able to do so we need your hand in the mission. We lack enough funds and your donation would be of much help to us.

As a much-esteemed donor towards our charity group, I hope that you will support this cause. Many people in this world are lost and lack the basic necessities needed for survival. However, we firmly believe we can bring about a change, with a little help from philanthropists like you. We hope that you shall donate some amount, any amount that you may think is feasible for you, to help us help an individual.

Hoping for an early revert from you.

Thank you, for your time and effort.

Yours Sincerely,
