Holiday Appreciation Letter

Last Updated On May 29, 2018 By Letter Writing

Holidays are a time of the year when families and friends reunite to celebrate an occasion over lots of conversations and food. These are the times when all the work related tensions are left back at the office, and people can just share their time with their loved ones. Christmas and Thanksgiving mark the biggest holidays of the year and are celebrated with loved ones as a long going on tradition.

A holiday appreciation letter can be written by a member of the family or some friend, detailing to the Recipient how important it is to spend these occasions with your loved ones and taking out time from one’s busy schedule to cherish these times and relax. These letters can include the traditions that one follows on these holidays and why are they so important. It is an informal letter and can be written by anyone to express their feelings and information about a specific occasion or holiday. The basic gist of a Holiday Appreciation letter is to tell how important a day is and why should it be appreciated.

Dear Jessica,

I hope you are doing well and this letter finds you in a healthy state. I am fine as well and wish to pass on my warm greetings to you and your family on this occasion of Christmas.

How beautiful is this season of Holiday, with so many people spending time with their loved ones, celebrating traditions and reminiscing old memories? This day of Christmas has always been a big day of celebration in our family. Since you were a little child, you always loved playing in the snow and coming back home to a warm fireplace, looking through the presents put under the Christmas tree. Your mother always loved to make you wait until the last minute to open up your presents and how impatient you would always be! I miss the big family dinner that we used to have every Christmas night, and I remember how much you loved your Grandmother Jenny’s homemade pies. Now you have a family of your own and a chance to make your little traditions and spend quality time with them. Teach your kids about the importance of spending time with their loved ones and give them all your love and attention, especially this time of the year when it’s all about spending time with your family.

I wish you again the best of greetings for this Holiday season and hope for your well being.

Yours lovingly,

Grandpa Joe
