Request To Be Relocated Letter

The relocation letter is written by an employee when he/she requires a transfer in his/her job. Many times it may happen that the employee is not happy with the current working location and therefore wishes to be relocated. In this case, the employee would be writing a relocation letter to the organization stating clearly the reasons for relocation. There can be many valid reasons for the employee not being able to adjust in the present working location. Or he/she might simply wish to be close to his/her family. This kind of letter can be addressed to the HR manager of the company or the supervisor.

While writing a relocation letter make sure that you have valid points to put in the letter that can prove your relocation requirement. Your letter must clearly explain why you need this relocation or else it may happen that your relocation demand gets rejected. Your letter must not be in a demanding format. It must be polite and courteous. It is supposed to be in the form of a request letter. The letter must be formal in nature since it is completely a professional part. Make sure not to include any negativity in your letter else it might not work for you.

  • Be polite and courteous. The letter must be formal.
  • Mention the reasons for relocation along with appropriate proofs (if any).
  • Since it is a request letter, so the tone must be in request format.
  • Also, mention the relocation site that you have a preference for, justifying the choice.
