Professional Farewell Letters

Last Updated On September 5, 2018 By Letter Writing Leave a Comment

Employees or subordinates write professional farewell letters to their higher officials as confirmation of their resignation from the company. It is written very formally, and it is divided into an introduction, the main body, and a conclusion. The letter is to be written in a crisp and precise manner, and it will contain the necessary details of the employees as well as the notice period. Even though the letter is formal in tone, it is a very emotional letter and conveys a lot of emotion.

Add a few lines on how someone (refer to names of those who you wish to endorse) had helped you during your tenure in the organization and graciously thank them all. It would seem very nice if you take the “personal” to another level by thanking your colleagues/coworkers personally before you leave. Our sample letters and sample format will help you develop a clearer idea on how to draft a professional farewell letter.
