Insurance appeal letters are written by people to get back the amount they had deposited or invested at a certain interest in a program under some conditions. It is a formal letter written to the organization that offered this scheme. Usually, such schemes are offered by insurance agencies or banks. It is a short, brief letter and to the point. One has to be polite and humble.

Insurance appeal letters are of many types. It can be written for settlement of the compensation, doubt clearance, complaining about the delay in compensation or asking about new schemes. In the case of asking for compensation, one should also provide the proof which proves the fulfilment of condition that is required for receiving the compensation. 

The letter should be complete and contain all the official information required for the concerned authorities to take action. If you have any other official document to validate your claim, attach that too. In case you are making a complaint for their lack of action do it politely and provide proof to support your allegation.

Insurance Appeal Letter Writing Tips

  • The letter must be written as a request in a formal way, showing due decency.
  • The letter should contain all the facts and figures and details of the scheme that you have enrolled in.
  • If you have a receipt as a proof for enrolling in the scheme, attach that too.
  • You could also specify the details of agent, branch, enrollment number if asking for disbursement.
  • In a case of complaint due to lack of action from authorities, be polite and logically point out their mistake to them.

Last week I went to doctor for a check-up due to some breathing difficulties that I had been facing recently, turns out that I have a hole in my heart which requires immediate attention. The doctor has suggested that I immediately get an operation and get a stent fit in my heart and some medicines which I will have to take regularly.

As per my policy, I can ask for the amount in case of life threatening problem. I would like to withdraw the insurance amount and I ask you to deposit the amount in the account number mentioned in my papers as soon as possible. Attached herewith is the letter from the doctor along with my medical reports and estimated expense and the insurance policy form which I had filled.
