Dismissal Appeal Letter

Last Updated On August 7, 2018 By Letter Writing

Dismissal Appeal letter is an appeal written to the authorities to not go forward with the proceedings of the dismissal of the person who is writing the letter from his/ her current position. It is a formal letter. And since one is requesting to drop the dismissal orders, it has to be polite, humble and to the point. It should not be in aggressive and offensive tone.

A dismissal letter can be written by a student to college or school authorities, an employee to his/ her employer, a government officer to the government that is by anyone to his/ her higher authorities, to whom the person writing the letter is answerable. Since you are already on the bad side of the authority, it is advisable not to rub the authorities the wrong way by blaming them for being unreasonable and insensitive. Lay down your predicament and appeal to them asking them to reconsider their decision and give you a second chance.

Respected Sir,

I am Florence Mc Gregor. Until last week I was a student of your college. I am writing to you to request you to take back your dismissal regarding my alleged involvement in the wreckage done to the installations of final year Textile Design’s (TD) students in the auditorium. I do realise the gravity of the situation and how in order to reuse old things for upcoming college fest’s decoration we may have gone too far and broken the installations which were there for the display of the companies coming in the placement week. Being the leader, I should be responsible even though I had no involvement in this, neither did I instruct anybody to do this. Let me appeal to you again to roll back your order and allow me to continue my studies in your esteemed college. I have been a diligent student of this college for the last 3 years and an exemplary student.

I hope you will consider my request and kindly take a decision in my favour.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely,

Florence Mc Gregor.
