A letter of invitation is a formal request for an individual’s presence in an event, dinner, celebration or formal occasion. An invitation letter is frequently distributed for ceremonies, graduation, weddings, birthdays, anniversary parties, etc.
Invitation letters are very useful for inviting the guests to a ceremony or event. The language of the invitation letter must be very polite enough so that guests feel the warmth and love through the letter only.
The letter must clearly mention the type of event that is going to be organized. If the event is a black-tie event then the guest must be informed about the genre of the party.
