Getting fired is probably the worst thing that could happen to an employee; it hurts and changes your life drastically. When a company wants to terminate your employment, it is recommended they write a firing letter or a termination letter. Although you wouldn’t be happy when you receive this letter, it is supposed to contain a few things.

The firing letter should explain to the employee why their term is being cut short and also the necessary information should be included in the letter. A fire letter, also known as a termination of employment letter, is a bit different than a common letter and most of the times it is not sent by mail but is handed out to you in the office.

The other names include that of Employee Termination Letter, Pink Slip, Letter to Fire an Employee. Moreover, many details might be provided by the same. Demographic information, a reason for termination, lead up, company property, vacation time and the final paycheck, health insurance, and other benefit details are also included. Details like that of employee contract, non-disclosure agreement, independent contract agreement, etc. are also provided in some cases by the HR professionals.
