Last Updated On August 29, 2018 By Letter Writing Leave a Comment

There will be several instances in one ’s life when a person disagrees with the other person’s decision. It becomes necessary to communicate with the other person either verbally or through a letter. A disagreement letter is used to convey the disagreement of one party to another over any matter. This can be used for conveying any disagreement with a decision made at your workplace or even informing any service provider that the bill amount they charged you is wrong.

Since a disagreement has to be shown in a way that does not cause any grudge, it’s always wise to use polite language while writing the letter. Always say that whatever you are conveying is your opinion alone and request the other party to consider what you are saying. Write this letter to the employer in a very professional manner so that it maintains the respect of the other part for you. Make sure harmony is maintained as best as possible. Keep the letter simple so that the message you are conveying is clear. Make sure you state sufficient reasons for disagreeing with the other person.

Dear Mr. /Ms__________ (name of the concerned person),

I want to inform you that my credit card account has been levied with late payment charges of Rs 1200. These charges are not acceptable as it is not a late payment from my end. I dropped a cheque with number __________on_________ (give dates) at the collection box present in the ATM centre of________ (name of centre).

When your representative called me to inform that I have to pay late payment charges, I had given him the cheque number and other details as well. They took almost ten days and finally traced the cheque. Now my account is levied with late payment charges.

I have been a regular customer of your bank for the past five years, and you can check my credit history as well. I never make the payments late and always maintain necessary records.

I request you to kindly look into the matter and get back to me with the details.

I hope to have a fruitful association with you

Thanking you,

Yours Sincerely,

________ (Your name)

Subject: Letter of Disagreement

Dear Sir,

I want to state that the late payment charges you have levied on my credit card bill are not acceptable. As per your records, I have not made the payment. But after receiving the bill, I dropped a cheque in the collection box in the ATM at the Abids Branch, where I have an account. Earlier whenever I dropped a cheque, it used to get credited into my credit card account within three days.

I provided the cheque number also to the concerned official, and it is not my fault if it has not been traced in your office. I request you that the late payment charges of Rs 890 should be canceled.

Please verify the matter with your officials and send me a mail with the details.

I hope to hear from you,

Thanking you,

Yours Sincerely,
Pravesh Dhawan
