Retirement Appreciation Letter

A retirement appreciation letter is written to the employee who is retiring, reminding him/ her how valuable he/ she is to the company and thanking them for dutifully serving the company. The letter is also to remind the retiring employee that he/ she is open to ask for help anytime he/ she wants to. It is a formal letter as well an official letter written on behalf of the company to the person retiring.

It is a bittersweet moment for the company as well as for the employee. The company has to look for a replacement. The employee has to move on with his/ her life as they close one chapter of their life. Using this letter any other employee can write to the retiring employee and reminisce about the moments gone by and how the latter was always a team player and a very supportive colleague.
