Last Updated On August 27, 2018 By Letter Writing Leave a Comment

A retirement notice letter is a letter written by the retiring employee to the company head or his/ her department head to remind of the impending retirement of the employee on the completion of his tenure in the company. The employee also shows the willingness to help the company in finding a replacement and show his gratitude. It is a formal letter.

Retirement is a stage of life when a person retires from the job after serving a good amount of time and dedicating himself to the betterment of the company. It is a bittersweet moment for the company as well the employee. The company has to look for a replacement. The employee has to move on with his/ her life as they close one chapter of their life. Using this letter, the employee can remind the company that his/ her obligations are now fulfilled and that the company can look for the replacement. This also gives time to tie loose ends, and the retiring employee can help in winding up all the unfinished business.
