A retirement letter of an employee to employer is written by the employee who is going to retire as he has completed a particular age decided by the company and has written this retirement letter to his/ her employer. In this letter, he expresses his happiness and offers thanks to the organization for providing him with an opportunity to serve the company.

Retirement is a stage of life when a person retires from the job after serving a good amount of time and dedicating himself to the betterment of the company. Using this letter, he acknowledges the fact that he/ she had a great time working and learned a lot. It is usually written to the head of the company or the head of the employee who is retiring.   • The letter must be formal and proper respect, as well as gratitude must be shown to the person to whom the letter is being addressed to.
