Resignation Letter of Teacher

Last Updated On July 25, 2018 By Letter Writing Leave a Comment

A teacher resignation letter is written by a teacher to the principal of the school stating the reason for resignation. Teachers may resign due to several reasons like pursuing higher education, better remuneration, relocation, marriage, or because they are unhappy with the school in some way.

These letters are formal and therefore, must be written in a very formal and polite language. Briefly, explain the reasons for the resignation and ask for the post-work documents at the earliest from their end. Ensure that you use very polite language and express your gratitude towards the institution for being part of them for the amount of time you were with them. Tell that it was a memorable experience for you and that you grew not just as a teacher but also as a person over the time you were involved with them, in that institution.
