There are many instances in life, when a change, brings in a breath of fresh air. Monotony sets in, as one goes about the same routine daily. Thus, a change at workplace may help to lighten and rejuvenate the lifestyle. As job satisfaction can help to increase a person’s productivity, it can also increase a person’s sense of wellbeing. When you are willing to change your career you should inform your employer about it with the specific reason.
Here is a sample career change resignation letter:
Mr. Simon Woodland
Human Resource Manager,
Sigma Software Ltd,
12th May, 2010
Ref: Resignation Letter
Dear Mr. Woodland,
I have been working as a Senior Tester in your company for the past 1 year. At this juncture I feel that my skills don’t match this profile. 15 days back I was given the opportunity to work in the Developing Department and while working there I found that the developing department holds more opportunity for my career and I can use my skills to the utmost in that department. Besides I would like to work in a more creative field.
Hence, I would like to resign from the post of Senior Tester. As I feel that the present job is holding no satisfaction for me I am here by submitting my resignation from the post of Senior Tester. I feel that this would be a better option for me. I request you to kindly accept my resignation and kindly transfer me to the developing department permanently.
